I have been reading a little book written by Brother Lawrence called The Practice of the Presence of God beginning in 1666 - quite a long time ago. This Brother only worked in the kitchen however his relationship with God was outstanding. It would seem though that the desire to get closer to God is not a new thing.
Have you ever wanted to get closer to God? To hear Him talk to you? I have, and since reading this little book all I have to do is say "practice the presence of God" and I can feel Him in me.
The bible says "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God"- it would seem that God wants to get real close to us, not just receive a 'want list'from us, in our prayer times.
I think He likes hanging out with me as He is not saying "what do you want" or "where is your list of the things you think I have not done for you today?". The urge is to say all sorts of things to Him, as you don't want to waste His time, but I've discovered He doesn't need me to say anything at all.
"My sheep hear My voice". I'm listening my precious Lord - I think He is telling me to begin to blog again so "Hello world".

A Stroll Through our Tabernacle
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to walk through the Tabernacle? I have been pondering walking through the gates with thanksgiving in my heart, but the truth is I am not always thankful. Sometimes I come whinging. So thinking of the tabernacle makes me jolt myself a little. Come thankful!
Now I'm walking up to the bronze laver and I jump in for cleansing, get rid of all that negativity check out my forgiveness levels Thank You Lord.
Then I enter the Holy place and approach the lamp stand a picture of The Holy Spirit who refreshes me, anoints me, and fills me with passion.
Over to the Table of Shewbread where I become "the Bread of His Face" - I know He has His eyes on me.
The Altar of Incense where all my prayers wisp up to Him, sweet smelling. I hope!
